Union County now accepts credit and debit card payments through AllPaid.
Payments can be made with a major credit, debit or prepaid debit card.
DO NOT PAY ON-LINE WITHOUT PRIOR APPROVAL FROM THE UNION COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE (CALL 641-782-7322 DURING REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS).
FINGERPRINTING: Please call the Jail (641-782-8402 then dial 2) to set up an appointment. Please call between the hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday thru Friday. What you will need when you arrive: Drivers license, fingerprint card completed but not signed, and $15.00 fee. Do not bring children along, as they are not allowed in the Jail.
WEAPON PERMITS: Appointments are not necessary; however, you can call ahead to make sure the office is open at 641-782-8402 then dial 3. Hours for applying for a weapon permit are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:0 PM. What you will need when you arrive: A current Iowa Driver’s License that shows your address in Union County, $25.00 fee for Permit to Acquire or Permit to Carry renewal, $50.00 fee for a new Permit to Carry, a training certificate or DD214 for new Permit to Carry.
